Tasting notes
Some oak and tar on the nose. Well melded and evolved, but I don't think this has very far to go. Good balance for now and very vigorous. Pretty complete – but just a little austere. (JR)

The powerful 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville (8,000 cases) exhibits a Pauillac-like, creme de cassis, spice box, tobacco leaf, and cedar-scented bouquet, followed by medium to full-bodied, concentrated, powerful flavors, and a tannic finish. It requires 4-5 years of cellaring, and should last for two decades. Tel. (707) 226-1395 and (800) MONDAVI; fax (707) 251-4386
