Tasting notes
All about finesse, the 2022 Zinfandel Katushas' Vineyard is from sandier soils along the Mokelumne River in Lodi and is highly expressive out of the gate. It opens with aromas of wild strawberries, white pepper, fresh lavender, and apricot. Medium-bodied, it maintains a snappy lift of salty earth, supple, fine tannins, a refined, silky texture, and a clean finish. It’s floral and charming, with gorgeous length. It should have a wide range for enjoyment over the coming 8-10 years Drink 2025-2034.

Full bottle 1,219 g. Medium purple in colour. Sweet, spicy red fruit with dried red chilli, cinnamon and dried cherry. Rich, spicy palate with a round weighty texture and heaps of fruit. Lodi Zin at its finest! (SCJ)
The 2022 Zinfandel Katushas’ Vineyard comes from own-rooted Zinfandel vines planted in 1915 in sandy-loam soils. Matured in 600-gallon foudres and puncheons, it has briary, foresty scents of wild berries, mossy bark and underbrush. The light-bodied palate is soft and bright with crunchy flavors, tangy acidity and an earth-laced finish.
