This aromatic wine is the ripest of the winery's fine lineup of 2015 Pinots, with a sweet, soft, round and smooth entry. Its pretty strawberry and cherry fruit is swathed in mocha, proving supple and immediately appealing. The still slightly stiff tannins suggest further improvement awaits over the next five years. Another captivating nose from this producer with so much sour cherry character as well as fruit tea, hibiscus, lemon rind, forest floor and earth. The palate shows real depth and harmony with velvety tannins, lots of driven acidity, a tight yet sturdy structure and a long, succulent finish. Very well done. Delicious now but better in 2019.
