Tasting notes
A paean to the classic signature of the AVA, this mixes blue and black fruits into a fully ripened slice of berry-pie goodness. Along with that exceptional fruit are hints and highlights of earth, herb and olive. The full-bodied flavors are finished with a light suggestion of cedar plank.

Medium ruby in color with a hint of purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton is a touch youthfully shy on the nose, opening up to warm black cherries, blueberries and black licorice with earthy/spicy accents of cracked pepper, underbrush, fir and turned earth. Light to medium-bodied, it gives spiced black fruits in the mouth with peppery accents and notions of wet soil, with firm, slightly chewy tannins carrying the (slightly hot) finish. 322 cases produced.
