Tasting notes
The 2021 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast has transparent aromas of apricot pit, quince peel, lemon zest and struck flint. The palate offers surprisingly concentrated, layered flavors, delivered in a satiny texture. It’s balanced by firm, focused acidity and has a long, expressive finish.

Bright medium yellow/green-hued, the 2021 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast has a gorgeous, fresh nose of bright flint, delicate oak spice, crystalline starfruit, fresh white flowers, and lime blossoms. Medium-bodied, it’s lovely on the palate, with a fantastic chalky texture and a great finish that gently tapers away. It’s long on the palate and is going to offer a wide drinking window over the coming 8-10 years.
Love the salted butter, sliced cooked apple and oyster shell character. Hints of uncooked pie crust. Medium- to full-bodied. So much subtle and intense flavor with some nuttiness. Drink now or hold.
The 2021 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is a fabulous appellation-level wine. Bright and focused, with lovely depth, the 2021 is a terrific offering in its peer group—or any peer group. All the elements are so well balanced. Time in the glass brings out hints of marzipan, white flowers, mint, tangerine peel and sweet spice.
