Score 94/100 · Drink 2009-2029, Robert Parker, Dec 2009
The 2007 is stunning. Opaque purple-colored, with plenty of creme de cassis, creosote, camphor, incense, subtle toasty oak, licorice and oodles of black fruits, the wine has superb purity, full bodied texture, beautiful richness and depth, and a finish that goes on for at least 40+ seconds. This blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot should age nicely for 15-20 years. This wine, meant to be the selection of the very best terroirs and grapes from entrepreneur Bill Hill’s holdings in Napa Valley, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
