The 2015 Chardonnay Sweetwater emerges from a hillside parcel planted with the Wente clone. The first thing that is evident about the Sweetwater is a distinctly Burgundian element of reduction in the aromatics. Silky and creamy on the palate, the 2015 possesses striking texture and nuance from start to finish. This is a knock out wine from Rochioli.

Offering an appealing struck match/sulfide character, 2015 Chardonnay Sweetwater Vineyard has an intoxicating mélange of ripe apricots, honeyed toast, mandarin peel and praline. The medium to full-bodied palate is beautifully concentrated with complex stone fruit, citrus and mineral flavors lingering on and on. Gorgeous. 176 cases were made.
