Tasting notes
The 2017 Chardonnay Heintz is such a textbook example from this site. Apricot, passionfruit, chamomile, spice and buttery notes all give the 2017 striking exoticism to match its oily, viscous personality. Racy and overt to the core, the 2017 is an absolute winner from Radio-Coteau.

The first vintage for this cuvée, the 2017 Chardonnay Heintz comes from a great site just on the edge of the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast AVA and it spent 16 months in one-third new French oak. There are 130 cases of this beauty, which offers more spiced orchard fruits, white flowers, salty minerality, and mint. Richer, broad, and expansive, with integrated oak, it still has a rocking core of acidity and a vibrancy. 138 cases.
The 2017 Chardonnay Heintz is a gorgeous wine from this highly regarded vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. Apricot, chamomile, butter, brioche and orange peel add complexity, but as is almost always the case for wines from this site, the Heintz is marked by a strong sense of textural richness and oiliness. It is another highly distinctive wine from Radio-Coteau.
