2011 Relic Pinot Noir Kashaya

Good dark red. Pungent raspberry, pepper, spices and loam on the nose. Sweet red fruit and spice flavors show good lift and richness but also a touch of heat (the alcohol here is 14.6%). The slightly aggressive finish offers notes of licorice and herbs. Three of the four blocks here were picked before the early-October rain.
