2014 Beta Cabernet Sauvignon Vare Vineyard

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Vare is a bit deeper and more pliant than the Montecillo Cabernet tasted alongside it. There is lovely depth to this mid-weight Cabernet. Hints of game, smoke, tobacco and incense add aromatic nuance throughout. As always, the Vare has more immediacy than the Montecillo, but fewer layers of dimension and bit less structural clout as well.
