Tasting notes
A smoking value, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon offers a medium to full-bodied, incredibly classic, balanced style that has the purity of fruit and elegance of the 2016 vintage front and center. Coming from a site in Calistoga and one in St. Helena, aged all in new barrels, it boasts a deep purple color, terrific notes of blue fruits, cedarwood, flowers, and hints of mint, medium to full body, and present, ripe tannins. It’s well worth a case purchase and is going to keep for two decades, if not longer.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with small splashes of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Lagrein. Deep garnet-purple colored, it gives fragrant cassis, warm plums, kirsch and Black Forest cake with hints spearmint, tobacco, candied violets, pencil shavings and tar. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and precise, with bags of finesse, it finishes long and sexy.
