(this wine was sterile-filtered due to a bit of unfermented sugar; made from Dijon clone 77) Good deep ruby-red. Wild aromas of crushed black raspberry and game. Sweet but firm and bright, with wild berry flavors complicated by slightly funky leather, smoked meat and earth. Not especially oaky. Finishes with slightly dusty tannins and sound acids. This would be a perfect match with wild duck.
