Tasting notes
A tiny barrel selection that's from a co-fermented blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Petit Verdot, and a splash of Malbec, the 2021 Blueline Estate 36 offers up a dense purple hue as well as classic Napa Cabernet notes of blue fruits (cassis, blueberries), scorched earth, spring flowers, and graphite. I love its purity, it's full-bodied, has ultra-fine tannins, integrated acidity, and a great finish. Drink this flat out awesome 2021 over the coming 20-25 years.

The 2021 Blueline Estate 36 is a dense, explosive wine. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, spice, leather and dried herbs are all amplified. The 2021 has a healthy dose of Petit Verdot, and that very much comes through in the wine's sheer power and textural intensity. This is a terrific showing.
The 2021 Blueline Estate 36, which includes a massive 30% Petit Verdot, is one of the clear standouts in the lineup, and I suspect this beauty will flirt with perfection at maturity. A tiny selection brought up in new barrels, it has pure cassis and darker currant fruits, lots of spicy wood, burning ember, and lead pencil aromatics, full body, beautiful tannins, and a great, great finish. This is legit Napa Valley goodness that's going to demand 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise in cold cellars.
