Tasting notes
From a large site on Atlas Peak, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyards is all Cabernet that spent 20 months in 55% new French oak. Gorgeous blue fruits (cassis, blueberries), violets, leafy tobacco, and spring flower notes all emerge from this gorgeously balanced, pure, polished mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. It picks up a distinct rocky minerality on the finish with time in the glass, and the purity, balance, and length are all just brilliantly done. This thrilling wine is one of the standouts in the lineup and will have 20-25 years of prime drinking. 550 cases.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is a dark, brooding behemoth. Huge tannins enshrouded the blackberry jam, crème de cassis and chocolate flavors. I imagine the Stagecoah will always pack a serious punch of both fruit and tannin.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard opens with subtle mulberries and redcurrant jelly scents giving way to a profound core of blackcurrant pastilles, forest floor and truffles plus a hint of bouquet garni. Full-bodied with a rock-solid foundation of ripe, grainy tannins and a lively line of acidity supporting the packed-in flavors, it finishes with a dazzling array of mineral sparks.
