Generous and round, the wine's expression is more influenced by its growing area, showcasing a robust and generous nature as it sits dark and heavy in the glass. The 2020 Walla Walla Sangiovese expresses notes of black cherry and roasted plums in the glass along with a dusty floral essence and hints of oak. Full-bodied, it offers flavors of black raspberry, plum compote and notes of graphite, ending with a long, spicy, tannic finish. This will likely be better in time. Your patience will be rewarded. The wine spent 22 months in a mix of new and used French oak and neutral oval botti. Only 925 cases were made.
