Score 93+/100 · Drink 2019-2029, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jul 2016
A dark, potent wine, the 2014 Pinot Noir Block 10 Mass Selection Estate Vineyard is quite a bit richer and more powerful than the straight estate bottling. As such, it is likely to require at least a few years to truly come into its own. This is an especially tannic, virile Russian River Pinot that shows the more masculine side of the appellation. As such, it will appeal most to readers who enjoy structured, broad-shouldered wines.

About the producer
Williams Selyem
Williams Selyem is an iconic Russian River Valley winery best known for its Pinot Noir. Producing restrained yet classically Californian expressions of the heartbreak grape (as well as a host of other wines), the property has gone from pioneer to one of the region’s standard-bearers.
