Tasting notes
Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard features pure, layered scents that continue to unfold with each return to the glass: cranberry and dried red cherries are accented with tones of iron, garrigue, licorice, prosciutto and saline. Powdery, seamlessly fresh and packed with concentrated fruits, it marries power with grace and finishes with layer after layer of fragrant fruit. It's a gorgeous rendition of Savoy that combines the elegance of the vintage and the power and conifer-like undertones so characteristic of Pinot Noir from the Anderson Valley.

A complex oak-spice aroma and vivid, focused red- and black-cherry flavors have rarely tasted so good. This vibrant and full-bodied wine offers cinnamon, toasted baguette and clove on the nose before the vivid fruit flavors kick in. Moderately tannic and well balanced, it will be best from 2025. — Jim Gordon
