Tasting notes
A blend of 60% Cabernet Franc (Sugarloaf Mountain), 20% Cabernet Sauvignon (Tench) and 20% Merlot (Sugarloaf Mountain), the 2021 Alessio Proprietary Red Wine combines a tomato-leaf character with black cherries, blueberries, cassis and mocha notes on the nose. Full-bodied, creamy-ripe without being overly heavy, the wine finishes supple and long, framed by soft tannins.

The 2021 Alessio Proprietary Red comes from a steep, rocky site and is a blend of 60% Merlot and 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It's one of the more seamless, polished, silky wines in the lineup and has a wild array of red, blue, and black fruits as well spring flowers, graphite, lead pencil, and some chocolaty nuances. Full-bodied, pure, elegant, and seamless on the palate, it has ripe tannins and a great, great finish.
