Tasting notes
The 2019 Pinot Noir KR Ranch is quite delicate in this vintage. Sweet dried cherry, wild flowers, spice and dried herbs are nicely lifted. Wines from KR Ranch (formerly known as Keefer Ranch) are usually a bit more juicy and supple. Picking on the early side yields a Pinot that emphasizes floral and savory aromatics over body.

Another Russian River Valley release, the 2019 Pinot Noir KR Ranch sports a medium ruby hue as well as a wonderfully perfumed, complex style in its bright berry fruits as well as sappy flowers, baking spices, and loamy earth aromas and flavors. I love its balance, and it has juicy acidity, medium body, and a clean, elegant finish.
The 2019 Pinot Noir KR Ranch has a pale ruby color and an elegant perfume of rose petals, dusty earth, woodsmoke, tea leaves and red berries. The palate is silky, savory and spicy with a long, layered finish. This vintage was made with 50% new oak, unusual for Freeman, but you'd never know. Such an elegant expression!
