The 2014 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard is one of the more immediate and fruity of the wines here. Sweet red cherry, plum, cola, spice and new leather are all pushed forward. As is often the case, the Kanzler will drink nicely with minimal cellaring. Once again, because of its overtness and super-riper character (typical of the Russian River and Sebastopol Hills), the Kanzler seems a bit out of place in this range.
