Tasting notes
From a vineyard in the Russian River, the 2016 Pinot Noir Lolita Ranch is bright, lifted and very nicely focused in its red fruit and spice character. The Lolita Ranch is especially vibrant in this vintage, with silky tannins that match the wine's mid-weight structure. Citrus and floral notes add verve to this super-appealing, mid-weight Pinot. Lolita is the first Pinot Noir site Martinelli picks.

Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2016 Pinot Noir Lolita Ranch has a gorgeous, rock-star perfume of preserved cherries, rose petals, violets and dark chocolate with suggestions of cinnamon stick and forest floor. Big, rich and full-bodied in the mouth, it offers up tons of red fruit preserves and fragrant layers with a plush frame and seamless freshness sparking the finish. 201 cases produced.

About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
