There is relatively good depth to the dark red and purplish fruit, but little in the way of real character, or complexity, to say nothing of the pedigree that makes this some of the most coveted and expensive fruit anywhere in the world.

Utterly sensational stuff, it’s already a joy to drink, yet is going to benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and keep for two decades or more. Given its power and richness paired with an incredible elegance, it reminds me of the 2009 Haut Bailly. Bravo!
