Tasting notes
Darker red and black fruits intermixed with smoked herbs, chocolate, and savory nuances all define the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it offers a broad, layered mouthfeel and represents a great value. Drink over the coming decade.

At 300 cases made, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is Pott's single largest-production wine. Drawing mostly from the estate vineyard on Mount Veeder, it's a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot that seems somewhat subdued on the nose, although cherries and a hint of cedar emerge with airing. It's medium to full-bodied in the mouth, concentrated and ripe, supple and almost creamy in texture, then adds welcome doses of tannin and acid on the finish. It's a fine value.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is terrific. Super-ripe red-toned fruit, cedar, spice, menthol and leather give this mid-weight, juicy Cabernet lovely aromatic presence to play off its forward personality. The 2022 is all charm. Full-throttle and intense to the core.
