Tasting notes
The 2017 Pato Heritage comes from vines planted in 1905. Medium ruby-purple, it opens with aromas of spiced peach cobbler, fleshing out to baked blackberries, cranberries, potpourri and tea leaf with notes of pepper, charcuterie, autumn leaves and exotic spices. The medium-bodied palate is intense and über spicy, with a sturdy frame of grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and layered.

Black cherry, plum, licorice, tobacco, smoke and menthol all flesh out in Bedrock's 2017 Pato Vineyard Heritage Wine. Creamy and racy in the glass, the Pato is wonderfully complete and deeply satisfying. The warmer site and high percentage of Petite Sirah yield an incredibly distinctive wine of textural breadth and richness.
