Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon ADAMVS showed well, with the huge opulence and over-the-top character that’s common from this vintage. Rocking levels of blackberries, plums, graphite, spice, and chocolate are just some of the nuances here and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, building tannins, and a ripe, seamless sexy texture that’s already hard to resist. Brought up all in new barrels, it’s going to continue evolving nicely for another 20-25 years or more.

The flagship 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Adamvs exudes power and concentration in all of its dimensions. A rush of super-ripe dark cherry, plum fruit give the Adamvs its racy, unctuous personality. The 2015 is attractive, but the very ripe style feels like it is a bit overdone.
Very deep, vibrant purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Adamvs (coming exclusively from the Howell Mountain Estate) gives up expressive blackberry preserves, black forest cake and mocha notes plus suggestions of star anise, tilled loam, black truffles and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is fine, fresh and elegant, with beautiful purity of fruit and a gorgeous silt-like texture framing the bold, sensuous fruit throughout the long, long finish. 440 cases were made.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Adamvs is a powerful, voluptuous wine. Inky blue and purplish fruit, bittersweet chocolate, dark spices and leather are front and center. This is a promising Howell Mountain Cabernet with modern contours and plenty of potential.
