Tasting notes
Bright ruby-red. White pepper-accented red fruits on the nose, with a sexy floral nuance adding complexity. Lively raspberry and bitter cherry flavors gain sweetness with air and are sharpened by a bitter blood orange quality. Shows strong fruit-driven appeal and a silky character, finishing with very good cut and length and soft, sneaky tannins.

The 2012 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is floral, juicy and expressive. Freshly cut flowers, mint and sweet red cherries meld together in a soft, approachable wine with tons of near-term appeal. Dried rose petals and violets linger on the soft finish. This is a gorgeous Pinot and a wonderful introduction to the Anthill Farms wines. The Sonoma Coast is a blend of fruit from Peters, Tina Marie, Campbell Ranch and, for the first time, Hirsch.
