(50% touriga nacional, with tinta cao, tinta francesca and tinta madeira; 20% alcohol): Inky purple. Potent aromas and flavors of blueberry, cassis, licorice, violet and dark chocolate, with a peppery topnote. Supple and broad, offering very sweet dark fruit preserve flavors and an exotic touch of smoky Indian spices. Becomes more floral with air and finishes with impressive sweetness and a lingering violet pastille quality. (JR)
