Score 87/100 · Drink 2014-2018, Robert Parker, Dec 2014

The 2012 Zinfandel Bacigalupi Vineyard came in at 14.8% alcohol, but it has obviously been acidified aggressively. The wine displays tart, plum, berry and strawberry fruit, but the acids create an abrasive mouthfeel. Drink this medium-bodied Zinfandel over the next 3-4 years. Tel. (707) 433-6425

Bright ruby. High-pitched, spice-accented aromas of blackberry, cherry and fresh flowers. Concentrated but light on its feet, with lively dark berry and bitter cherry flavors lifted by a kick of white pepper. A velvety, elegant zin with very good finishing clarity and no excess fat.
