Tasting notes
The 2019 Zinfandel Bacigalupi Vineyard is complex and drinkable with its detailed, spicy flavors and medium-bodied frame. It offers scents of baked blueberries and blackberries with wafts of cured meats, apricot, peppercorn and licorice. It has a pleasantly chewy frame to support its intense red and blue fruits, and gentle bursts of fresh acidity extending the spicy finish. Made entirely of Zinfandel, it comes from vines planted in the 1920s and was matured in about 20% new Taransaud barrels.
