Score 95/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2019
The 2017 Pinot Noir Moonshine Ranch is marked by an array of bright floral notes and orange peel/citrus overtones that add freshness to a core of sweet red berry fruit. Medium in body, racy and exceptionally beautiful, the 2017 has so much to offer. The mix of three clones here - 113, 114 and 115 - seems to yield a Pinot of remarkable complexity.

About the producer

Martinelli
Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
