Tasting notes
Plenty of oyster shell, tar, orange peel, ripe strawberry and raspberry aromas with some seaweed follow through to a medium body, with savory, cedar, mushroom and bark notes coming through. Light fresh spice, too. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Cleary Estate is more forward and lifted with its aromatics of fresh pine, cranberry cordial, and cinnamon. The palate is fully ripe but takes on a more linear profile, with soft mineral texture and fine tannins.
Very expressive, with a burst of maraschino cherry and blackberry puree laced with light bramble, licorice and fruitcake accents. Stays honest through the finish, with a light mineral thread adding contrast.
The 2020 Pinot Noir Cleary Estate is a wine of notable beauty. Floral, transparent and wonderfully nuanced, the Cleary is fabulous. Crushed red berry fruit, rose petal, mint, chalk and white pepper give the Cleary its bright aromatic profile. It is the standout in this range of 2020 Pinots from Paul Hobbs.
