Tasting notes
From 22-year-old vines, the pale ruby colored 2020 Grenache Lumiere Larner Vineyard features singular aromas of sour cherries, rosewater, powdered sugar, chaparral and prosciutto with loads of earthy accents. The light-bodied palate is silky and tensile, with layer after layer of perfumed fruit haunting the very long finish. This is gorgeous! It was matured for 19 months in 30% new French oak and only 75 cases were made.

The 2020 Grenache Lumiere Larner Vineyard comes from a great site in the Ballard Canyon AVA and was completely destemmed and saw 19 months in 30% new French oak. It's a beauty, delivering gorgeous notes of spiced cherries, herbes de Provence, loamy earth, and new leather. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has some classic Grenache tannins, a supple, seamless mouthfeel, beautiful richness, and a great finish. This powerful yet also ethereal Grenache will evolve for 10-12 years.
The 2020 Grenache Larner Vineyard Lumiere is a very pretty, aromatic wine that captures the personality of this sandy site in Ballard Canyon. Crushed red berry fruit, spice and sweet floral accents are nicely lifted throughout.
