2016 Podere Il Carnasiciale Carnasciale

The 2016 Carnasciale is dark, bold and savory, with many of the signatures that make its big sibling, Caberlot, so intriguing. Black cherry, espresso, menthol, licorice and lavender add aromatic nuance throughout. On the palate, the 2016 is a bit strict though, and not especially inviting for a wine that is meant to be enjoyed young. It will be interesting to see if time helps.
