Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2028, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2023

Disgorged in November of 2016, the 2012 Blanc de Noirs Heintz Vineyard is alluringly tertiary at this stage, its citrusy fruit laced with flint and pastry, with tones of mushroom, coffee and crème brûlée beginning to take center stage. The light-bodied palate maintains a core of toasty fruit despite its softened, creamy texture, and it has a long, savory finish. It's maturing gracefully and will offer savory pleasure over the next 3-5+ years.

The 2012 Blanc de Noirs Charles Heintz Vineyard, 100% Pinot Noir from one of the top sites in the Sonoma Coast, is really more a wine of site than anything else. Creamy and silky on the palate, with striking texture and aromatic nuance, the 2012 is super expressive today. Sweet floral notes, apricot, gentle red berries and exotic spice notes shape this nuanced, resonant Blanc de Noirs. Dosage is 2 grams per liter.
