Tasting notes
Healthy ruby-red color. Some intrusive bell pepper and menthol on the nose, along with cherry, licorice and fresh herb scents. A supple, fine-grained midweight with modest fruit sweetness and a distinct herbal element throughout. Lacks the concentration and depth of the better 2010s but nicely balanced in a lighter vein. I wanted more nuance and thrust. Finishes with fine, dusty tannins, a repeating herbal quality and moderate length.

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is bright, focused and nicely balanced. Dark red cherry, plum, mocha, cloves and rose petals all take shape in the glass. In 2010 the Estate is juicy, plump and immediate, but there is plenty of balance. Floral and spice notes become more prominent over time, giving the wine an attractive sense of lift.
