Tasting notes
(35% whole clusters and 45% new French oak): Deep, bright red. Spice- and mineral-laced raspberry and cherry aromas show excellent clarity and a suave floral nuance. Appealingly sweet and energetic in the mouth, offering sappy red fruit, spicecake and rose pastille flavors that are energized by white pepper and smoky mineral accents. Expands and deepens with air while maintaining vivacity and focus and finishes sweet and very long, with harmonious tannins and a lingering hint of vanilla.

Winemaker Jeff Pisoni commented that the Soberanes Vineyard yields the most feminine and elegant style of wine from all the vineyards they farm. Brought up with 30% whole clusters and 45% new French oak, the 260-case 2015 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard’s vibrant ruby color is followed by classic, Côte de Nuit-like notes of crushed rocks, flowers, violets and peppery herbs intermixed with blackberry and black cherry fruit.
