Score 95/100 · Drink 2019-2039, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2019

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon At Anchor is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon from the Missouri Hopper Vineyard yet has around 7% Cabernet Sauvignon from To Kalon and 20% Cabernet Franc from Pritchard Hill. Aged in 70% new barrels, it’s a concentrated, voluptuous, beautifully balanced effort that has terrific sweetness of fruit, subtle toasty oak, full body, and solid underlying structure. It’s a beautifully elegant yet pleasure-bent 2016 that will keep for 15-20 years.
