Score 91/100 · Drink 2013-2028, Robert Parker, Dec 2010
Fashioned from the same sources, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is somewhat closed, but it reveals impressive component parts, including a dense purple color, lots of concentration, full-bodied power, plenty of tannin and a sweetness and equilibrium that augur well for further development. Atypically backward for a 2007, it needs 3-4 years of cellaring and should drink well for 15+ years. I was sad to learn that Rob Winter, whom I had met at several charity events in Napa Valley, prematurely passed away. The wines are now being made by Mike Herby, who is also the force behind the wines of Relic. Tel. (707) 967-9771; Fax (707) 967-8497
