This is wonderful. Wild-berry, bark and wet-earth character transforms into sweet strawberries. Full body, round and juicy tannins that are melted and delicious. Flavorful finish. Fun, southern Rhône blend. Drink now.

A blend of 52% Grenache, 34% Syrah and 14% Mourvèdre aged 16 months in 15% new French oak, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Mars opens with notes of spicy salami, warm black plums and Black Forest cake with touches of potpourri, Chinese five spice and red soil. Medium to full-bodied, it packs in the spicy layers with a plushly textured juicy fruit core and fantastic persistence. 250 cases produced.
