Tasting notes
The 2015 Chardonnay Olivet Lane Vineyard displays aromas of white peaches, pink grapefruit, pineapple and candied ginger with hints of cashews and meal. Medium to full-bodied with a rich, opulent, creamy texture and packed with voluptuous tropical and layers of spice, it has a racy backbone and very long finish.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Olivet Lane Vineyard shows the darker, more powerful side of the vintage. Succulent black cherry, lavender, licorice and new oak all flesh out in the glass. Here, too, the new oak needs time to integrate. That should not be an issue, as the 2015 won't be ready to offer its best drinking for at least another few years, if not longer.
About the producer
Williams Selyem is an iconic Russian River Valley winery best known for its Pinot Noir. Producing restrained yet classically Californian expressions of the heartbreak grape (as well as a host of other wines), the property has gone from pioneer to one of the region’s standard-bearers.
