Tasting notes
A multi-vineyard blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. Deep, staining purple. Dense, baked black and red fruit – opulent with an earthy freshness. Deep flavour that is quite concentrated and long. Cocoa-laced finish. (SCJ)

The blended Cabernet in the lineup, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hierothesion combines mixed red and black cherries with faint herbal notes, hints of dark chocolate and a touch of mocha. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc, it's medium to full-bodied, silky and finessed, with ample length on the finish.
Named after a royal burial ground in Turkey, the 2021 Hierothesion is a new wine from Kinsman based on multiple AVAs and a mix from the single vineyards. It's one heck of a wine, offering beautiful cassis and darker currant fruits as well as graphite, leafy tobacco, Asian spices, and floral notes. With medium to full-bodied richness, a ripe, seamless, elegant mouthfeel, and a great finish, it's perfect for drinking over the coming 15+ years.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hierothesion is a new wine in this range, designed to be an entry-level offering. Bright and floral, with terrific energy, the 2021 impresses with its racy personality. Crushed flowers, red-toned fruit and gentle hints of spice are all beautifully delineated throughout. The 2021 is an absolute delight. (AG)
