Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oliver's Blend is wound very tightly today, but it has also turned very savory in its aromatics and flavors. That makes for an interesting combination and a bit of a question mark. Iron, gravel, graphite and gamey notes lead the charge, but the 2018 is curiously backward and missing fruit today. Two bottles tasted with consistent notes.

Coming from the Alexander Valley, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oliver's Blend is another beautiful Sonoma Cabernet from this estate that’s well worth seeking out. Classic cassis fruits as well as notes of tobacco leaf, toasted spices, and tapenade give way to a medium to full-bodied, finesse-driven 2018 with ripe yet present tannins, outstanding balance, and a great finish. It’s going to have two decades or more of longevity.
