Tasting notes
The 2017 Pinot Noir is kaleidoscopic on the nose, its strawberry and raspberry fruit giving way to nuances of bergamot, underbrush and bitters. The medium-bodied palate is powerfully styled. Its berry fruit is laced with herbal, earthy tones reminiscent of an Oregon forest. It’s structured by chalky tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, spicy finish. It will be long lived in the cellar.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Caballus smolders up with an intense blend of cedar chips and incense, giving way to crushed plums and dusty sage. It opens with a pretty inner sweetness, contrasted by a wave of mineral-inflected wild berry fruit that swirls throughout. It finishes with a resonance of licorice and spice as a bump of vibrant, juicy acidity maintains a fantastically fresh personality.
