2018 Melka Metisse Martinez Vineyard

This is a barrel sample blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot—the blend is nearly finalized. Very deep purple-black in color, it gives up vibrant red and black currants, black raspberries and mulberries scents with touches of damp soil, forest floor, truffles and pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, elegant and energetic in the mouth, it has a chewy texture and savory finish. 400 cases are to be made.
