Score 89-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2013

(50% new oak, 15% vendange entier): Good bright red. Lively, high-pitched aromas of black cherry and chalk. Firm and tightly wound, showing a youthful medicinal quality and captivating floral lift. But this is less appealingly sweet today and far less inviting than the Caillerets. The wine's resounding finish suggests that it will reward time in bottle.
