Tasting notes
73% Sauvignon Blanc, 14% Sauvignon Musqué, 13% Sémillon. Fruit sourced from Ryan’s Vineyard in Oak Knoll and Rancho Pequeño in Oakville. Medium lemon-green in colour. Lemongrass, green mango, passionfruit curd, sage, chive and spearmint on the nose – very layered and with beautifully judged oak use adding a lovely roundness to the texture and a skosh of vanilla. Despite the green notes, it is quite rich and, amazingly at seven years of age, this is only showing a lick of tertiary butter brickle on the finish. (SCJ)

From two vineyards and including some Sauvignon Blanc Musqué and about 15% Sémillon. Most of the fruit from the southernmost part of the Valley on Big Ranch road close to Trefethen. Highs are about 10 °F lower than in Calistoga. Rather light nose. But there are both citrus and waxy ingredients on the palate. Much more interesting palate than the nose. It really grows on the palate. Nice dry finish. Still quite youthful and chewy. (JR)
The aromas of dried pineapple and limes is so intense and perfumed. Full-bodied, deep and layered with beautiful, bright acidity and a linear and bright finish. Shows intention and precision. Very exciting. Dash of semillon in this. Drink now.
The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is pliant and supple, with a bit more textural richness than is often the case. Even so, the 2017 possesses terrific nuance and aromatic definition to play off light tropical inflections. This is another classy Sauvignon Blanc from Accendo.
