Tasting notes
From a site on the Sonoma Coast, the 2018 Pinot Noir Durell Vineyard is another incredibly Burgundian wine in the lineup, offering beautiful black cherry and mulberry fruits intermixed with spice box, dried flowers, and savory herbs. It shows more and more spice with time in the glass, is medium-bodied, and has building tannins and a grippy, tight, vibrant style that's going to benefit from a year or three of bottle age and keep for 7-8.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Durell Vineyard is a bright, savory wine that is going to need at least a few years to unwind. Crushed rocks, dried herbs, chalk, mint and wild flowers lend striking tension to this taut, nervy Pinot. I don't think I have ever tasted a Durell Pinot from Three Sticks with this much sheer energy.
