Tasting notes
2018 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is in a great place right now. Candied apricot, mint, spice, passion fruit and a kiss of French oak are front and center. Exotic and layered in the glass, the 2018 is peaking and should continue to drink well for at least another handful of years.

The 2018 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard has so much energy this year! Singular aromas of lemon meringue and preserved grapefruit mingle with accents of white flowers and crushed stone. The palate is light on its feet, silky, super fresh and energetic, with an effortless finish that offers lingering preserved lemon, salty tang and textural grip. This deserves another 2-3 years in bottle, at least.
The 2018 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is a powerful, tightly wound wine, which is surprising for a year in which most wines are pretty open. Crushed rocks, mint, lemon confit and white pepper all open in the glass. The 2018 is translucent and yet t also packs a pretty huge punch of both fruit and structure. I would give it a few years in bottle to relax.
