There are just over 300 cases of the 2016 Pinot Noir Savoy, which sees only a touch of stems as they feel this site is already structured enough. It's aged in one-third new French oak. Some tart cherry, strawberry, and even a touch of blue fruits emerge from the glass, and it has a solid sense of soil, mineral, and earth as well as a floral hint. Silky, medium-bodied, elegant, with nicely integrated tannins, it fleshes out nicely with time in the glass, but it's certainly one of the more structured wines in the lineup. Give it a year or three and it should keep for a decade.

Just as it was from barrel, the 2016 Pinot Noir Savoy offers quite a bit of immediacy and impact. Although a very pretty wine, the Savoy is stylistically quite different from the other wines in the range. Sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange and mint meld into the racy finish in this succulent, expressive Pinot.
Radio-Coteau's 2016 Pinot Noir Savoy is bold and direct, with more of an overt expression of fruit than is found in the other wines. Today, the Savoy is dense, powerful and inward. At times, the Savoy is a touch monolithic. It will be interesting to see if the 2016 develops a bit more finesse in aging.
