Named for Susan Boswell's granddaughter, the 2021 Chardonnay Absolutely Eloise is a blend of Dutton Ranch and Purrington-Rued. Scents of crushed stone and pencil shavings accent round, generous stone-fruit notes, while the medium to full-bodied palate is round and generous, then more reined in and focused on the silky finish.

The 2021 Chardonnay Absolutely Eloise is a blend of Dutton and Purrington Rued. It is the richest and creamiest of the Chardonnays in the range. Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and white pepper all grace this wonderfully nuanced Chardonnay. A kiss of French oak and tropical overtones linger.
Decadent and full-bodied, the 2021 Chardonnay Absolutely Eloise displays a bright yellow hue and is layered with aromas of frangipane, orange blossoms, vanilla bean, and apricot. Coming from selections of the Dutton, Purrington Rued, and Sebastapol vineyards, it’s rounded and full, moving seamlessly to the palate and offering a supple and luxurious texture with balanced richness and fresh underpinnings. Although it’s drinking well now, it should cruise over the coming decade and develop nicely over the coming 8 years. 119 Cases were produced.
